    Who receives it

Bots and the ad platforms' own checkers are never recorded.

Certificate checks, registration, order lookup and returns are private pages: nothing under Analytics or Marketing sends anything from them. Pages opened from a certificate or registration page, whose addresses carry a serial, see only this site's address.

A visit record

While you allow analytics or marketing, our database keeps a record of your visit, linked by a random ID in the fv_vid cookie. With both off there is no record and no fv_vid.

  • fv_vid

    What it is
A random ID for the visit record.
    Who receives it
    This site
    Kept
90 days, renewed on each visit
  • While either is allowed

    What it is
When you first and last visited, when you first opened a product page, the page you landed on (without ad click IDs), the site that sent you (other sites only), the campaign tags in the link (UTM tags and ad ID), your approximate location from your IP address (country, region, city and postal code, worked out by our host Vercel, never GPS), your consent states, and whether the browser is one of our own test browsers.
    Who receives it
    This site
    Kept
90 days after your last visit
  • While marketing is allowed

    What it is
Meta's fbc and fbp, TikTok's ttclid and _ttp, Google's gclid, gbraid and wbraid, your IP address and your browser's user agent.
    Who receives it
This site, and the ad platforms under Marketing
    Kept
Cleared as soon as marketing is off
  • While analytics is allowed

    What it is
    The Mixpanel device ID.
    Who receives it
    This site
    Kept
Cleared as soon as analytics is off

A daily job deletes visit records 90 days after the last visit. Turning both off stops the record and deletes fv_vid, and what's left (times, landing page, campaign tags, location) is deleted within 90 days. Orders keep their own copy of the campaign tags, and of the click, browser and device IDs as they were at checkout, and lose only the link to the visit.

Analytics

Shows us how the site is used, so we can see what to improve.

Where the law asks first, in the EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, the UK, Switzerland, Brazil and Quebec, this runs only after you say yes. Everywhere else, the US included, it's on until you turn it off.

Mixpanel (Mixpanel, Inc.)

Page views and the events in our tracking plan, such as a product viewed or a piece added to the cart, with a random device ID. After you subscribe, register a piece or buy, our customer ID with your watch model and market.

Session replay: a recording of the pages you view, with scrolling, clicks and typing. Mixpanel always masks passwords, email, phone and hidden fields, fields with autocomplete, and fields for card, bank account or identity numbers; nothing else is masked, and images and video are recorded. A recording follows you across pages in one tab and ends after 30 minutes idle or 24 hours. Replay never runs on order tracking, returns, certificate checks or registration, never on Shopify's checkout, and never for our own test browsers.

Mixpanel works out your city and country from your IP address for events from your browser; events from our server carry no IP address. Ad click IDs never reach Mixpanel. Data is kept in the US.

Turning analytics off stops Mixpanel, deletes its data in your browser, deletes our links to your recordings, and asks Mixpanel to delete your device's data.

  • mp_<token>_mixpanel__mp_opt_in_out_<token>

    What it is
Mixpanel's device ID and settings, in local storage, or a cookie where local storage is blocked.
    Who receives it
    Mixpanel
    Kept
Until analytics is off or you clear it
  • mixpanelBrowserDb

    What it is
Events and recordings waiting to be sent, in IndexedDB.

    Mixpanel
    Kept
Until analytics is off or you clear it
  • mp_tab_id_mixpanel_<token>

    What it is
The tab a recording belongs to, in session storage.
    Who receives it
    Mixpanel
    Kept
    Until you close the tab
  • Recordings

    What it is
Session recordings. Our links to them keep the device and customer IDs, the pages you saw (without ad click IDs), the site that sent you, your browser's user agent and your country.
    Who receives it
    Mixpanel
    Kept
30 days, Mixpanel's default. Our links to them are deleted at 30 days.
  • Events

    What it is
    Events and profiles.
    Who receives it
    Mixpanel
    Kept
As Mixpanel's plan sets it (vendor, to be confirmed)

Shopify (Shopify Inc.)

Page views and cart events for the store's own reports in Shopify. Its script loads on every page and sends nothing until analytics is allowed.

  • _shopify_analytics

    What it is
    Shopify's analytics cookie.
    Who receives it
    Shopify
    Kept
    Set by Shopify (vendor)

Marketing

Measures our ads, so the ad platforms can show them to the right people.

Where the law asks first, in the EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, the UK, Switzerland, Brazil and Quebec, this runs only after you say yes. Everywhere else, the US included, it's on until you turn it off.

If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, marketing stays off everywhere.

Meta (Meta Platforms)

The Meta Pixel and the Conversions API get page views, product views, customizing a piece, adding to the cart, checkout steps, purchases, sign-ups and fit checks. With them, when known: a hashed email, a phone, name and address only from Shopify's checkout, the click and browser IDs, your IP address and your browser's user agent.

Automatic advanced matching is off, so the Pixel never reads what you type into our forms. Its automatic setup is off too, so it doesn't collect button clicks or page details on its own.

  • _fbp_fbc

    What it is
Meta's browser and click IDs, on our domain.
    Who receives it
    Meta
    Kept
    90 days

TikTok

The TikTok Pixel and Events API get the same events, with a hashed email when known, a phone only from Shopify's checkout, your IP address and your browser's user agent. The pixel counts only what this site sends it.

  • _ttpttclidttcsidttcsid_<pixel>

    What it is
TikTok's browser, click and session IDs, on our domain.
    Who receives it
    TikTok
    Kept
13 months from when they're set or last used (vendor)

Google Ads

The Google tag, in Consent Mode and loaded only once marketing is allowed, gets conversions with Google's click IDs, and for purchases a hashed email (enhanced conversions). Nothing reaches Google before that, and Google Analytics isn't used.

  • _gcl_au_gcl_aw_gcl_gb_gcl_dc

    What it is
    Google's conversion cookies.
    Who receives it
    Google
    Kept
    Set by Google (vendor)

Klaviyo (Klaviyo, Inc.)

Klaviyo's onsite script links your visits to our emails once you subscribe. While marketing is allowed it also gets the products you view, what you add to the cart, the pieces you configure and the waitlists you join.

  • __kla_id

    What it is
    Klaviyo's browser ID.
    Who receives it
    Klaviyo
    Kept
2 years (vendor). Safari and Brave cut it to 7 days.

Shopify (Shopify Inc.)

Shopify's own marketing cookie, for the store's marketing reports.

  • _shopify_marketing

    What it is
    Shopify's marketing cookie.
    Who receives it
    Shopify
    Kept
    Set by Shopify (vendor)

What you give us

These happen only when you fill in a form or buy, in every region.

  • Email and texts

    What it is
When you subscribe or join a waitlist, your email, and your mobile number if you agree to texts, with our customer ID, your locale, market and watch model. A waitlist adds the product; a question about the fit adds the watch, size, product and the page (without ad click IDs). Your number is used only for texts: it never goes to the ad platforms. Unsubscribe from any email, or reply STOP to a text (or use its link where texts can't take replies).
    Who receives it
Klaviyo. Our database keeps only hashes of your email and number, the consent words you agreed to and when, the form, and the page's campaign tags.
    Kept
Until you unsubscribe and ask us to delete it
  • Checkout

    What it is
Shopify's checkout runs our pixel. It sends each checkout step and the purchase to this site and, while marketing is allowed, to Meta, TikTok and Google, with the checkout's token and never the page's address; Google's purchase adds your email, which Google's tag hashes before it leaves. Before checkout, the cart gets hidden notes for this: the visit's ID, its landing page and campaign tags, the click and browser IDs while marketing is allowed, the Mixpanel device ID while analytics is allowed, your watch, your consent and which of our sites made the cart. Shopify keeps them on the order, where apps with access to orders can read them.
    Who receives it
This site, and the ad platforms under Marketing
    Kept
    To be confirmed
  • Orders

    What it is
Your name, address, contact details, payment and the pieces you bought.
    Who receives it
Shopify, which runs checkout and payment, and Klaviyo, which gets your orders from Shopify for order and shipping emails. Our database keeps the order's ID, values, pieces, engraving words and gift message, its landing page and campaign tags, and as they were at checkout your consent states, the click and browser IDs (while marketing was allowed) and the Mixpanel device ID (while analytics was allowed). Never your name or address.
    Kept
As long as the store's records need them (to be confirmed)
  • Your cart

    What it is
Our copy of your cart: the pieces and gift message, the country, language and your watch. From the checkout click on, also the hidden notes above.
    Who receives it
    This site
    Kept
    To be confirmed
  • Registering a piece

    What it is
The piece's serial number and a hash of your email, with the warranty's end and the consent you gave. Your email goes to Klaviyo only if you agree to marketing.
    Who receives it
    This site
    Kept
For the life of the warranty (to be confirmed)
  • A photo of your watch

    What it is
When you ask the fit finder to read a photo, the photo, made smaller and without its location or date, so the watch's model and size can be read from it.
    Who receives it
Anthropic, whose Claude model reads it for us. This site keeps neither the photo nor what was read from it.
    Kept
Not kept by us. Anthropic keeps it as its commercial terms allow (vendor, to be confirmed)
  • Certificate checks

    What it is
Each check of a serial number, with the time, your country and how it was made (typed, QR code or NFC tap). Never sent to Mixpanel.
    Who receives it
    This site
    Kept
    To be confirmed
  • Fit checks

    What it is
Each answer from the fit finder: the watch, the answer, the page and your country, with your wrist size and your question when you give them, and the visit when there is one.
    Who receives it
    This site
    Kept
    To be confirmed
  • Reviews

    What it is
Judge.me gets your orders from Shopify to ask for a review. A published review shows your first name and the first letter of your last name. Review photos load from Judge.me's servers.
    Who receives it
    Judge.me
    Kept
    As Judge.me keeps them (vendor)

Where it runs

Our host, Vercel, serves every page and keeps short request logs with your IP address, the page and your browser (vendor). Our database runs on Neon in the US, and counts requests per hashed address for up to a day to stop abuse, never the address itself. Images and 3D models load from Shopify's and Vercel's servers.

Your privacy choices

Change your choice at any time with Your privacy choices, in the footer of every page. Where the law asks first, the banner asks too.

The choice applies at once and is kept in the fv_consent cookie for a year. Where we ask first, the banner asks again after a year.

Change your choices

Do not sell or share my personal information

In the US and other places that don't ask first, turning marketing off in Your privacy choices is your opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information.

It stops every marketing service above, deletes _fbp, _fbc, _ttp, ttclid, ttcsid, ttcsid_<pixel>, _gcl_au, _gcl_aw, _gcl_gb, _gcl_dc and __kla_id, clears the marketing fields of the visit record, and tells Shopify's checkout. The page reloads once, so nothing already running keeps going.

Ask about your data

To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, write to us. hello@falcoveritas.com

Deleting your data

Turning analytics or marketing off in Your privacy choices deletes what those services keep in your browser and clears that part of the visit record at once.

To have the rest deleted, write to us with the email you used here and any order numbers. We erase your details in Shopify; Shopify erases them there and has our database delete your visit records, carts, checkout steps, sign-ups and waitlists, the links to your session recordings and our customer record. Your orders and registered pieces lose every link to you and the words of any engraving. Orders keep their amounts for the accounts.

How Klaviyo, Mixpanel and the ad platforms are asked to delete what they received, and how long each takes, are to be confirmed. To be confirmed

Write to hello@falcoveritas.com.
